During his 24 years of service with the Australian Defence Force, David Villanti was able to help a multitude of people on peace-keeping missions, such as the one described in the film 'Exit Wounds', which has gained International acclaim and was selected for prestigous awards, including one for the UK Veterans Film Festival in 2016.
After 24 years in the Australian Army, David re-trained as an actor in 2002. Since then he has performed in a wide range of productions on stage, in film and television including the Channel Nine crime series Abe Saffron and the popular series Somersault. He has appeared in Families of Crime, Rake, Special Rescue Operations and is the face of the Royal Lifesaving campaign for swimming, Samsung and Canberra tourism.
In addition to numerous television dramas and commercials, David has also performed live role playing and presented sessions for the Corporate World.
David Villanti is mostly known for the Live Theatre performances and television roles we have seen him in, but his extensive experience has also seen him deliver corporate 'live role play workshops' to deliver strong messages about important topics ranging from communication skills, domestic violence to general negotiation skills and conflict resolution. Effective in delivery, David's live work is entertaining and passionate.
